Howell Electric was selected to provide and install a new voice evacuation fire alarm system for 12 floors, including basement levels, stairwells, and elevator cabs. The 141,293 sq ft Altair facility features a rooftop workspace, fitness centers, touchless elevators, and quick and easy access to the downtown area and Caltrain station.

The fire system includes a provided and installed smoke control panel, 70V distributed amplifier with speakers, strobe power supply with strobes, manual pull stations at FACU, fire sprinkler monitoring equipment, elevator recall equipment, smoke detection in electrical rooms, mechanical system shutdown equipment, ERRCS monitoring equipment, emergency generator monitoring equipment, AES radio interface equipment, and rescue air monitoring.
